All Our Planning Starts With the Environment

Central Floridians are fiercely passionate about protecting the natural resources that so abundantly grace the region – and they respect any organization that reflects this same commitment. That priority is a firmly established guiding principle for Deseret Ranch, which for more than seven decades has maintained a harmonious relationship with nature to sustain our agricultural operations.

The Ranch has earned a positive reputation for our careful stewardship, wise use, and conservation of natural resources, including wildlife and waterfowl populations and functioning habitats. With annexation into the City of Orlando, Deseret will continue to maintain high standards of protection for water, wetlands, and wildlife in harmony with city regulations and county requirements that apply to municipalities.

A Collaborative Vision for Sustainable Growth

Moving forward, Deseret’s vision is to work with regional stakeholders – the people, government agencies, organizations, and businesses in Central Florida – to plan for and promote a sustainable balance of the needs of the people who call the area home, the natural systems they live among, and the places in which they live.

The long-range planning framework Deseret will be discussing with Orlando city government is based on the goals and principles of achieving sustainable balance by using an integrated planning process.
