From our beginnings in Central Florida more than 70 years ago, Deseret Ranch has been a dedicated protector of the land and all natural resources. Sustainable stewardship for the long term has been, and will always remain, one of our core values.

Since the Ranch was established in 1950, the area around it has grown considerably – fueled first by development of the space program to the east and then by the arrival of Disney to the west. That growth continues: In just the last 15 years, for example, the Orlando metro area population has increased by the same number of people that were living in the city when Disney opened in 1971.

Too often, growth planning has reacted to piecemeal, short-term development needs, rather than truly charting a clear, long-term path for the future. In contrast, the long-range planning framework the Ranch is proposing to co-develop with Orlando will provide a single, unified vision for an area where growth is inevitable.
