Few areas of the country are undergoing such historic investments in transportation infrastructure as Central Florida. Then-Governor Rick Scott recognized the need for long-range transportation planning for the region back in 2013, when he established the East Central Florida Corridor Task Force and invited Deseret Ranch to be part of that task force. Building on task force recommendations, Deseret Ranch is cooperating with the Central Florida Expressway Authority to implement plans according to those recommendations. Now the region is transforming before our eyes, from the Brightline high speed rail to the ever-expanding Sunrail commuter system and Sunshine Corridor development – not to mention deep investments in last-mile innovation and autonomous vehicle connectivity, pedestrian safety, and hyper-local walkable/bikeable community assets.
